Simona Duque, LMSW
Psychotherapist
New York City NY
Believing in the power of a trusting therapeutic alliance, I aim to create a warm, compassionate, and affirming container — one where clients feel seen in their authentic selves, and one that fosters healing aligned with each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
I'm a queer, nonbinary, and Colombian-American-identified psychotherapist specializing in gender, sexuality, and psychedelics. I'm committed to providing trauma-informed and anti-oppressive care, which includes engaging in ongoing radical cultural humility.
I have experience working with queer, transgender, and gender expansive adults, BIPOC/people of the global majority, sexual trauma, sex workers, non-traditional relationship structures, people who use drugs, neurodivergence, artists, and non-ordinary states of consciousness (NOSCs), including, and spirituality, psychedelics, and mindfulness.
Healing is not linear. Self-compassion and attunement with one’s inner healing intelligence is ongoing, especially in a relentlessly painful and uncertain world. It's an honor to support my clients along this windy, bumpy, yet exquisite path of remembering and reconnecting, towards healing and transformation.
