Using an inviting compassionate and relational approach, I believe relationship is the heart of healing between participant and supporter. I collaborate and consult with a multidisciplinary team comprised of registered medical professionals (internal medicine, chronic pain management specialist, psychiatric nurse), indigenous knowledge keepers and healers and sacred ceremonial coaches/guides.
Consultation and coaching through creative, collaborative, forward thinking interventions for holistic healing and wellness utilizing indigenous healing modalities, both traditional and non-traditional frameworks are foundational to my practice.
Ana Schlosser, Registered Provisional Psychologist, is the founder, owner, and operator of Psynergy Centre Health & Wellness, established in Medicine Hat in October 2021. Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA), Ana immigrated to Canada in 2008, under NAFTA to work in forensic psychology through a partnership with Alberta Juvenile Justice and Alberta Health Services. Ana has over 24 years of experience working with diverse populations in mental health, including forensic, correctional, child protection, emergency crisis and school settings. Ana has a passion for bringing cutting-edge, holistic wellness approaches to the community.
A visionary advocate for evidence based effective innovative therapies, Ana is specialty trained in Ketamine & Psychedelic Assisted Therapies. She has training in areas like Psychedelic Pharmacology and Emotion Focused Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, and completed postgraduate training certificate in Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration Therapy through Fluence. In 2021, Ana was awarded a prestigious scholarship by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) to train as an MDMA Therapist for PTSD, making her a pioneering figure in this field in Alberta, Canada and the USA. She also was selected for Burning Man 2023’s Zendo Project Psychedelic Peer Support Team.
Ana is dedicated to advancing psychiatric treatment options in Medicine Hat and beyond. Psynergy Centre, under her leadership, is Medicine Hat's first and only licensed Psychedelic Drug Treatment Service Clinic, reflecting her commitment to advancing innovative psychiatric and pain management treatments to Alberta and beyond.
Ana was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA)-ancestral traditional lands of the Muskogee, Creek and Osage Nations. She currently resides in Medicine Hat, Alberta on Treaty Land 7 of Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Stoney-Nakoda and Tsuut'ina peoples. Ana's indigenous lineage originates from Zacatecas, Mexico, of the Zacateco Chichimecas as referred to by the Aztecs and from the village of Samalyuca in Chihuahua-referred to as Tarahumara indigenous peoples by the Apaches.
